A refreshing and healthy Strawberry Slushie made with fresh strawberries, a touch of honey, and ice. This quick and easy blended drink offers a naturally sweet and icy treat perfect for warm days or anytime you want a delicious fruit beverage.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 cups quartered fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup water (can also use coconut water, sparkling water, or kombucha)
  • 13 tablespoons honey (adjust to taste)
  • 23 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Blend strawberry mixture: Place the quartered fresh strawberries, water, and honey into a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth. Taste the blend and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if necessary, and blend again. Keep in mind that the sweetness will reduce when ice is added.
  2. Add ice: Add 2 to 3 cups of ice cubes to the blender. Blend on high until the mixture reaches the perfect slushie consistency. If the mixture is too thin, add more ice and blend again. If it is too thick, add a little more water and blend until smooth.
  3. Enjoy: Pour the slushie into glasses and serve immediately for a refreshing treat.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
  • Adjust honey quantity according to your preferred sweetness level or substitute with agave syrup for a different flavor.
  • Water alternatives like coconut water or sparkling water can add subtle flavor differences.
  • For a creamier texture, consider adding a small amount of yogurt or a splash of almond milk.
  • This recipe is suitable as a vegan treat if you use a plant-based sweetener instead of honey.
