Ingredients

Cheesecake Base

  • 2 (8 oz.) blocks Philadelphia cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt

Whipped Cream

  • 1 cup cold heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar

Toppings and Garnish

  • ½ cup strawberry jam
  • ⅓ cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • ⅓ cup blueberries
  • Graham Crackers, Pretzels, Vanilla Wafers, Fresh Fruit, Shortbread Cookies, Cinnamon Pita Chips, or Biscotti for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese: Allow the cream cheese to soften at room temperature for about 60 minutes to ensure it blends smoothly without lumps.
  2. Beat Cream Cheese: Place the softened cream cheese into a large bowl and beat it with an electric hand mixer until completely smooth.
  3. Add Sugar and Flavorings: Add powdered sugar, sour cream, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and salt to the cream cheese. Beat the mixture until it becomes fluffy.
  4. Whip Heavy Cream: In a separate large bowl, pour the cold heavy cream and add sugar. Use the hand mixer on medium-high speed to whip until medium peaks form, about 4 minutes. Avoid over-whipping.
  5. Fold Whipped Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully combined without deflating the cream.
  6. Assemble and Chill: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or pie pan. Spread the strawberry jam evenly over the top, leaving a narrow white border around the edge. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to overnight to set.
  7. Prepare Topping and Serve: Mix the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter. Just before serving, sprinkle this crumb mixture over the dip, top with fresh blueberries, and serve with your choice of dippers like graham crackers and fresh fruits.

Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is softened to room temperature to avoid lumps in the dip.
  • You can prepare the dip a day ahead; just add the graham cracker topping and fruit right before serving to keep them fresh and crunchy.
  • For a dairy-free alternative, try using dairy-free cream cheese and whipped topping substitutes.
  • The graham cracker crumbs topping adds delightful texture and can be customized with cinnamon or nuts.
  • Use fresh, ripe blueberries for the best flavor and appearance.
