Delightful Shrimp and Grits Bites combine creamy baked grits with perfectly seasoned sautéed shrimp, making for a tasty appetizer or party snack that's easy to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Grits

  • 2 1/4 cups cooked grits
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Shrimp

  • 36 medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Stone House Seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder (optional)

Garnish

  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350º F to warm up while you prepare the grits for baking.
  2. Prepare Grits Cups: Spoon the cooked grits into a mini muffin tin coated with non-stick cooking spray. Bake them for 30 minutes or until the tops are golden brown. Remove from oven and gently press a small indention in each grits cup with the back of a spoon. Let them cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a serving platter.
  3. Cook Shrimp: While the grits bake, melt the butter in a medium skillet over medium heat. Add Stone House Seasoning and chili powder if using, stirring to combine. Place the shrimp in the skillet and cook on one side until pink, about 2 to 3 minutes. Flip the shrimp and continue cooking until pink throughout, approximately another 3 minutes.
  4. Assemble Bites: Place one cooked shrimp atop each baked grits cup. Drizzle some of the melted seasoned butter from the skillet over the bites. Sprinkle with additional chopped fresh parsley as a vibrant garnish.

  • For a spicier kick, increase the chili powder or add a dash of hot sauce to the butter mixture.
  • Ensure shrimp are peeled and deveined for the best texture and presentation.
  • Serve warm for optimal flavor and texture.
