A refreshing and sweet Strawberry Iced Tea made with black tea, infused with strawberry simple syrup, perfect for a cool and fruity beverage on warm days.

Ingredients

Tea Base

  • 3 Cups Cold Water
  • 2 Cups Boiling Water
  • 5 Regular Black Tea Bags

Syrup

  • 1 ½ Cups Strawberry Simple Syrup
  • ½ Cup White Granulated Sugar

Optional Garnish

  • Strawberry Slices
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Boil Water: Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot or kettle to prepare for steeping the tea bags.
  2. Steep Tea: Place 5 black tea bags into a heatproof pitcher or container. Pour the boiling water over the tea bags and let steep for about 5 minutes until the tea is strong and flavorful.
  3. Add Cold Water: After steeping, remove the tea bags and add 3 cups of cold water to dilute the tea to the proper strength and cool it down slightly.
  4. Add Sugar: Stir in ½ cup of white granulated sugar until completely dissolved, balancing the sweetness to complement the strawberry syrup.
  5. Mix in Strawberry Syrup: Pour 1 ½ cups of strawberry simple syrup into the tea mixture. Stir well to combine and infuse the tea with a sweet, fruity strawberry flavor.
  6. Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the strawberry iced tea until cold. When ready to serve, add ice cubes and garnish with fresh strawberry slices if desired for an extra refreshing touch.

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of strawberry simple syrup and sugar depending on your preferred sweetness level.
  • For a stronger tea flavor, let the tea bags steep longer before removing.
  • Use fresh strawberries to make your own simple syrup by simmering strawberries, sugar, and water until thickened.
  • This iced tea is best served chilled and consumed within 2-3 days for optimal freshness.
  • Ice is optional but recommended for a truly refreshing drink on hot days.
