This Refreshing Peach Lemonade is a perfect summer beverage blending sweet, ripe peaches with tangy fresh lemon juice. Quick to prepare and delightfully cool, this drink is ideal for picnics, barbecues, or relaxing on a warm day. The combination delivers a smooth, fruity texture balanced with a hint of sweetness and zest, making it both visually appealing and deliciously satisfying.

Ingredients

Fruit and Juice

  • 4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

Syrup and Liquid

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 4 cups filtered water (divided)

Serving

  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Optional garnishes: mint leaves or lemon slices

Instructions

  1. Puree the Peaches: Place the sliced peaches in a blender and blend until smooth. For a silkier lemonade, strain the peach puree through a fine mesh sieve to remove any pulp and fibers.
  2. Juice the Lemons: Squeeze fresh lemons to extract about 1 cup of lemon juice, ensuring no seeds get into the juice.
  3. Make Sugar Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water with the granulated sugar. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar fully dissolves. Remove from heat and allow it to cool completely.
  4. Combine Ingredients: In a large pitcher, mix the peach puree, fresh lemon juice, cooled sugar syrup, and the remaining 3 cups of cold filtered water. Stir thoroughly to combine all flavors evenly.
  5. Serve: Fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour the peach lemonade over the ice. Optionally, garnish with fresh mint leaves or lemon slices for a decorative and aromatic touch. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing taste.

Notes

  • Adjust sugar quantity based on the sweetness of your peaches and personal preference.
  • Straining the peach puree is optional but recommended for a smoother texture.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor; bottled lemon juice may alter the taste.
  • You can prepare the lemonade in advance and refrigerate it for up to 24 hours; stir before serving.
  • For a sparkling variation, replace some or all of the water with sparkling water just before serving.
