Love Potion Latte is a romantic, floral-infused hot beverage perfect for cozy mornings or special occasions. It combines delicate rose petals, fragrant spices, and creamy frothed milk to create a soothing and aromatic latte that delights the senses with every sip.

Ingredients

For the Rose Milk Base

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1 tablespoon dried edible rose petals
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1 teaspoon honey or sweetener of choice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom

For the Latte

  • Additional milk for frothing (about 1/2 cup)
  • Optional garnish: dried rose petals or ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat the Milk and Rose Petals: In a small saucepan, gently warm 1 cup of milk over low to medium heat. Add the dried rose petals and allow the milk to infuse with the floral flavor by heating it for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
  2. Strain the Milk: Once infused, remove the saucepan from heat. Using a mesh strainer, strain the milk into a mug to remove the rose petals. This step is optional if you prefer the petals in the latte.
  3. Add Flavorings: Stir the rose water, honey, ground cinnamon, and ground cardamom into the strained milk until fully combined. Taste and adjust sweetness as desired.
  4. Froth Additional Milk: Heat the remaining 1/2 cup milk separately until warm but not boiling. Use a milk frother or a hand whisk to froth the milk until it develops a creamy foam.
  5. Assemble the Latte: Pour the frothed milk on top of the rose-infused milk in your mug, creating a layered effect. Optionally, garnish with dried rose petals or a sprinkle of cinnamon for an extra charming touch.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve your Love Potion Latte warm for a comforting, aromatic drink that’s perfect for relaxation or sharing love.

Notes

  • Use dried edible rose petals specifically meant for culinary use to ensure safety and flavor.
  • You can substitute honey with maple syrup or a sugar-free sweetener for dietary preferences.
  • For a dairy-free version, use almond, oat, or coconut milk which can also be frothed well.
  • Adjust spice quantities to match your taste preferences—more cardamom for a bolder spice, less cinnamon for a milder aroma.
  • If you don’t have a milk frother, vigorously whisk warm milk by hand or shake it in a jar until foamy.
