A luscious and tangy lemon cream sauce perfect for enhancing pasta, chicken, or seafood dishes. This quick and easy sauce combines garlic, heavy cream, fresh parmesan, and bright lemon juice for a creamy, flavorful finish in just 10 minutes.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup fresh parmesan cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Heat Olive Oil: In a large skillet, warm 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat to prepare the base for sautéing garlic.
  2. Sauté Garlic: Add the minced 2 cloves of garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant but not browned, infusing the oil with flavor.
  3. Simmer Cream: Reduce the heat to low and pour in 3/4 cup of heavy cream. Bring it to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
  4. Melt Parmesan: Add 1/3 cup shredded fresh parmesan cheese to the cream and whisk continuously until the cheese melts completely and the sauce becomes smooth.
  5. Add Water and Pepper: Stir in 1/4 cup warm water and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper. Continue to gently cook the sauce, allowing it to thicken slightly over a couple of minutes.
  6. Incorporate Lemon Juice: Finally, stir in 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice to brighten the flavor and balance the richness of the cream.
  7. Serve: Remove the sauce from heat and serve immediately over your favorite pasta, chicken, or seafood dish. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for the best melting and flavor.
  • Adjust lemon juice to taste for more or less acidity.
  • Warm water helps to loosen the sauce and control thickness.
  • Serve immediately as the sauce thickens upon standing.
  • This sauce pairs wonderfully with fettuccine, grilled chicken, or pan-seared fish.
