This Layered Greek Dip with Hummus and Tzatziki is a fresh, flavorful appetizer that combines creamy hummus and cool tzatziki with crunchy vegetables, tangy feta, and herbs. Perfect for parties or casual gatherings, it's easy to assemble, visually appealing, and pairs wonderfully with pita bread or fresh veggies.

Ingredients

Main Dip Ingredients

  • 12 oz Container of hummus
  • 10 - 12 oz Container of tzatziki

Toppings

  • 1 medium English cucumber, finely diced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, finely diced
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 2 tbsp capers or sliced olives
  • 3 tbsp fresh chopped mint

Instructions

  1. Layer the hummus: Spread the hummus evenly on the bottom of a shallow serving dish or platter, creating a smooth base layer for the dip.
  2. Add tzatziki: Spoon the tzatziki gently over the hummus layer, taking care not to mix them, to maintain distinct layers.
  3. Top with vegetables: Sprinkle the finely diced cucumber, cherry tomatoes, and chopped red onion evenly on top of the tzatziki layer.
  4. Final garnish: Add the crumbled feta cheese, capers (or sliced olives), and fresh chopped mint as the finishing touches to the layered dip.
  5. Serve immediately: Serve the dip right away with pita crackers, pita bread, fresh veggies, or your favorite crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • You can substitute capers with sliced black or Kalamata olives for a different flavor.
  • For added spiciness, sprinkle some crushed red pepper flakes on top.
  • This dip is best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 1 day; stir gently if layers mix.
  • Use homemade or store-bought hummus and tzatziki depending on convenience and preference.
  • Make sure to finely dice the vegetables for easy scooping and layering.
