A delightful and easy-to-make Krispy Kreme Peach Cobbler combining the classic flavors of cinnamon-spiced peaches with rich creamy custard and soft, sweet doughnuts for a unique twist on traditional peach cobbler.

Ingredients

Peach Filling

  • 2 (16 oz) boxes of frozen peaches
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 stick Land O’Lakes butter
  • 1 pinch nutmeg
  • Cinnamon to taste
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • A little water (enough to dissolve corn starch)

Custard Mixture

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup Carnation milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Doughnuts

  • 2 boxes Krispy Kreme doughnuts

Instructions

  1. Prepare Peach Filling: In a saucepan, combine frozen peaches, 1/2 cup brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and corn starch dissolved in a little water. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and peaches are tender, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Prepare Custard Mixture: In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy whipping cream, Carnation milk, eggs, and 1/4 cup brown sugar until smooth and well combined.
  3. Assemble Cobbler: Slice the Krispy Kreme doughnuts into halves or quarters and layer them evenly in a greased baking dish. Pour the warm peach filling over the doughnuts, spreading evenly.
  4. Add Custard: Pour the prepared custard mixture over the peach and doughnut layers, making sure it seeps through the layers.
  5. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the assembled cobbler in the oven for about 40-45 minutes or until the custard is set, the top is golden brown, and the cobbler is bubbly.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow cobbler to cool slightly before serving. It can be served warm alone or with additional whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

  • Use frozen peaches that are unsweetened for better control of sweetness.
  • If fresh peaches are available, they can be used in place of frozen peaches.
  • Adjust cinnamon and nutmeg according to taste preferences.
  • This cobbler is best served warm but can be refrigerated and reheated.
  • For a lighter version, use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
