Ingredients

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Fire & Smoke Society burger seasoning
  • 1 tsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or 4 slices American cheese)

For the Bowl:

  • 5 to 6 cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup roasted potato cubes or french fries
  • 1/4 cup pickles
  • 1/4 cup caramelized onions
  • Optional: hot chili peppers (if you like it spicy)

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp pickles, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp caramelized onions
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the beef: Add the ground beef to a hot pan and season it with salt, burger seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the seasonings are evenly combined throughout the meat.
  2. Cook the beef: Cook the beef in a hot skillet over medium-high heat for 8–10 minutes, breaking it up as it cooks. Continue until the beef is fully browned with some crispy, lightly charred bits for extra flavor.
  3. Melt the cheese: Once the beef is cooked, add the shredded cheddar cheese or layered American cheese slices on top. Reduce the heat and cover the pan to allow the cheese to melt thoroughly.
  4. Assemble the bowl: In serving bowls, layer shredded iceberg lettuce, roasted potato cubes or french fries, pickles, optional hot chili peppers, caramelized onions, and the cheesy ground beef. Drizzle with the prepared burger sauce on top and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best flavor, use 80/20 ground beef for juiciness and richness.
  • You can substitute roasted potatoes with crispy french fries for extra crunch.
  • Adjust the amount of hot chili peppers depending on your spice preference.
  • Sauce can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • This recipe is low-carb if french fries are replaced with roasted potatoes or omitted.
