This refreshing Iced Raspberry Vanilla Chai combines the warm spices of chai tea with sweet raspberry puree and smooth vanilla, all balanced with creamy milk and ice. It's a vibrant and delightful drink perfect for cooling down on warm days or adding a flavorful twist to your usual tea routine.

Ingredients

Chai Tea Base

  • 2 cups brewed chai tea (chilled)
  • 2 chai tea bags or 2 teaspoons loose-leaf chai
  • 2 cups hot water (for steeping)

Raspberry Vanilla Mixture

  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries (or raspberry puree)
  • 1-2 teaspoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

To Serve

  • 1/2 cup milk (or a dairy-free alternative)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional garnish: fresh raspberries and a sprinkle of cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Steep the Chai Tea: Steep 2 chai tea bags or 2 teaspoons of loose-leaf chai in 2 cups of hot water for about 5 minutes. Remove the tea bags or strain out the tea leaves, then allow the chai to cool to room temperature before refrigerating it until chilled.
  2. Prepare the Raspberry Puree: Blend fresh raspberries with 1 teaspoon of honey or sugar until smooth. For a seed-free texture, strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing gently to extract all the juice.
  3. Combine Flavors: In a mixing glass, combine the chilled chai tea, vanilla extract, and raspberry puree. Stir thoroughly to blend all the flavors evenly.
  4. Assemble the Drink: Fill a serving glass with ice cubes. Pour the raspberry chai mixture over the ice. Slowly add the milk to the glass to create a beautiful swirling effect.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Top the drink with fresh raspberries and a light sprinkle of cinnamon if desired. Stir gently before drinking and enjoy your vibrant iced raspberry vanilla chai.

Notes

  • You can substitute fresh raspberries with raspberry puree for convenience.
  • Adjust the sweetness by increasing or decreasing the honey or sugar according to your taste.
  • Use any milk or dairy-free alternative such as almond, oat, or coconut milk.
  • For a stronger chai flavor, increase the steeping time or use more tea leaves.
  • To make it vegan, use plant-based milk and ensure your sweetener is vegan friendly.
