A simple and flavorful grilled cobia recipe featuring buttery garlic and lemon marinade, perfect for a quick and healthy seafood dinner.

Ingredients

Fish

  • 4 Each Cobia Fillets (Large)

Marinade

  • 1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 3 Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Grill: Preheat the grill on high setting and clean the grates if necessary to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
  2. Prepare the Marinade: In a bowl, mix together the melted unsalted butter, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  3. Coat the Fillets: Brush the marinade liberally over both sides of the cobia fillets for maximum flavor infusion.
  4. Grill the Fish: Place the coated fillets on the preheated grill and cook for about 6 to 7 minutes on each side, until the fish is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
  5. Rest before Serving: Remove the grilled cobia from the grill and cover with foil for a couple of minutes to let the juices redistribute while you finish preparing any sides.

Notes

  • Ensure the grill is properly preheated to avoid sticking.
  • Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
  • Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the fillets; the fish should be opaque and flake easily with a fork.
  • Resting the fish under foil helps keep it moist and tender.
