Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1/2 bunch of cilantro
  • 1 jalapeno, ribs and seeds removed
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • Zest of 1/2 a lime (optional)
  • Kosher salt to taste
  • Fresh cracked pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Rinse the cilantro and remove any tough stems. Remove the ribs and seeds from the jalapeno to reduce heat, and peel the garlic clove.
  2. Add to Blender: Place the cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, sour cream, olive oil, lime juice, cumin, chili powder, and optional lime zest into a high-speed blender.
  3. Blend Until Smooth: Pulse or blend the ingredients until the sauce becomes smooth, creamy, and thoroughly combined, ensuring even texture.
  4. Season and Serve: Taste the sauce and season with kosher salt and freshly cracked pepper as desired. Blend briefly again if needed. Serve immediately or chill until ready to use.

Notes

  • Use as a dip, dressing, or topping for tacos, grilled chicken, fish, or vegetables.
