Dubai Chocolate Bark is a decadent treat combining the rich flavors of melted chocolate, nutty pistachio butter, and crunchy kataifi pastry. This no-bake dessert features layers of toasted kataifi and smooth chocolate infused with tahini and pistachio butter, then chilled until set for a perfect sweet and nutty bite.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 2 cups shredded kataifi
  • 24 oz chocolate almond bark (chopped)
  • 1 1/4 cups pistachio nut butter (divided)
  • ¼ cup tahini

Instructions

  1. Prepare baking sheet: Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and set aside to prevent sticking and allow for easy removal of the chocolate bark.
  2. Toast kataifi: Melt the salted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the shredded kataifi and stir continuously until it turns a golden brown color, ensuring even toasting and a crunchy texture.
  3. Melt chocolate and mix: Place the chopped chocolate almond bark in a large microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave using 30-second intervals, stirring in between each to avoid burning, until the chocolate is completely smooth. Stir in the pistachio nut butter and tahini until fully incorporated, then fold in the toasted kataifi gently to combine all flavors.
  4. Spread mixture: Pour the chocolate and kataifi mixture onto the prepared sheet pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula to create a uniform layer.
  5. Drizzle pistachio butter: Transfer the remaining pistachio nut butter to a Ziploc bag, snip a small corner off, and drizzle it artistically over the chocolate layer. Tap the sheet pan gently on the countertop to help the layers blend slightly and create an appealing swirl effect.
  6. Chill and set: Place the sheet pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the chocolate bark is fully set and firm enough to break into pieces.
  7. Break and serve: Once set, break the bark into bite-sized pieces and serve as a delightful treat or gift.

Notes

  • For even melting, make sure to stir chocolate frequently during microwaving to prevent burning.
  • Use salted butter to enhance the flavor balance with the sweet chocolate and nutty ingredients.
  • Kataifi can be found in Middle Eastern or Mediterranean grocery stores; it adds a unique crunchy texture.
  • This bark can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  • Ensure the bark is completely set before breaking to avoid messy pieces.
