These Big Mac Tacos bring the iconic flavors of a classic Big Mac burger into a fun taco format. With seasoned ground beef cooked on soft flour tortillas, melted cheddar cheese, fresh shredded lettuce, pickles, onions, and a creamy homemade Big Mac sauce, this recipe offers a delicious twist perfect for a quick and satisfying meal.

Ingredients

For the Beef Tacos

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 flour tortillas (6 inch)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 3 Tbsp white onion, minced
  • 12 dill pickle slices
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

For the Big Mac Sauce

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 Tbsp mustard
  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp white onion, grated
  • 1 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a small mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, mustard, white vinegar, grated white onion, sweet pickle relish, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Whisk well until all ingredients are fully incorporated. Place the sauce in the refrigerator to chill and develop flavors while you cook the tacos.
  2. Form the beef patties: Divide the ground beef evenly into four portions. Shape each portion into a thin patty roughly the size of each tortilla, pressing so it reaches the edge of the tortilla for maximum coverage.
  3. Season the patties: Sprinkle each patty generously with salt and black pepper to enhance the flavor of the beef.
  4. Cook the tacos: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Place each tortilla topped with the beef patty beef-side down onto the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes to brown the beef and crisp the tortilla. Carefully flip the tortilla over, add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of the patty, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the cheese melts. Repeat this process for all four tacos.
  5. Assemble the Big Mac Tacos: Lay each cooked beef-topped tortilla on a plate. Top with shredded lettuce, minced white onion, and dill pickle slices. Finally, drizzle the chilled Big Mac sauce generously over each taco. Serve immediately and enjoy the Big Mac flavors in a handheld taco form.

Notes

  • Use fresh ground beef for the best flavor and texture in your patties.
  • Make sure to grate the onion finely for the sauce to blend smoothly without noticeable chunks.
  • Adjust seasoning in the sauce according to taste if preferred less salty or tangy.
  • If you want melted cheese faster, cover the skillet with a lid briefly after flipping the taco to trap heat.
  • This recipe works well with gluten-free tortillas as a substitute if needed.
