Delight in these Air Fryer S’mores Banana Boats, a quick and easy treat combining sweet bananas, gooey marshmallows, rich chocolate chips, and crunchy graham crackers, all perfectly toasted in the air fryer for a mess-free s’mores experience at home.

Ingredients

Fruits

  • 1 medium banana

Sweet Fillings

  • 7 no sugar added chocolate chips (such as Lily's or Hu Kitchen)
  • 10 mini marshmallows

Other

  • 1 square graham cracker
  • A couple of good pinches of cinnamon (optional, but highly recommended)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) and let it preheat for a few minutes to ensure even cooking.
  2. Prepare the banana: Lay the banana on its side to keep it stable. Carefully make a slit through the peel and into the banana flesh without cutting all the way through to the other side. If using cinnamon, sprinkle and rub a couple of pinches inside the slit for extra warmth and flavor.
  3. Stuff the banana: Fill the slit with the 7 no sugar added chocolate chips and 10 mini marshmallows, distributing them evenly inside.
  4. Air fry the banana boat: Place the stuffed banana gently into the air fryer basket and cook for 4 minutes at 400°F, allowing the chocolate and marshmallows to melt and the banana to soften.
  5. Add the graham cracker topping: Carefully remove the banana from the air fryer. Crumble one square of graham cracker over the cooked banana and gently press some crumbs into the slit for added texture and flavor.
  6. Serve and enjoy: Your s’mores banana boat is ready to eat immediately as a warm, gooey treat—perfect for a quick dessert or snack.

Notes

  • You can substitute regular chocolate chips if preferred, but no sugar added options keep this treat slightly healthier.
  • The cinnamon is optional but highly recommended to add a warm spice flavor.
  • Make sure not to cut through the entire banana to avoid losing the fillings.
  • Enjoy immediately after cooking for the best gooey texture, as the marshmallows harden when cooled.
  • For a vegan version, use vegan marshmallows and dairy-free chocolate chips.
