Deliciously simple and quick Air Fryer Salmon recipe featuring perfectly seasoned salmon filets cooked to flaky perfection in just 20 minutes. This healthy meal pairs beautifully with fresh lemon juice and your favorite sides like jasmine rice and sautéed asparagus.

Ingredients

Salmon

  • 2 salmon filets (4-6 ounces each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Seasoning Mix

  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer. Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit and lightly spray the basket with oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Brush Salmon with Olive Oil. Brush the tops of the salmon filets evenly with olive oil to keep them moist during cooking.
  3. Prepare Spice Mix. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper, mixing thoroughly.
  4. Season the Salmon. Rub the spice mixture evenly on the top sides of the salmon filets, pressing the seasoning into the flesh to adhere well.
  5. Air Fry the Salmon. Place the salmon filets skin side down in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-12 minutes depending on filet thickness and desired doneness.
  6. Serve. Once cooked, serve the salmon hot with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Pair with jasmine rice, sautéed asparagus, or your choice of vegetables. Optional: drizzle with lemon tahini dressing for extra flavor.

Notes

  • Cooking times may vary depending on the thickness of the salmon; check for an internal temperature of 145°F for optimal doneness.
  • Make sure the air fryer basket is not overcrowded to ensure even cooking.
  • Use fresh salmon for best flavor and texture.
  • Lemon tahini dressing adds a nice creamy tang but can be omitted for a lighter option.
