Delicious and healthy Air Fryer Ranch Carrots feature tender baby carrots coated in zesty ranch seasoning and lightly sprayed with avocado oil. These carrots are perfectly roasted in the air fryer to achieve a crispy exterior and a flavorful, tender inside, making a quick and easy side dish or snack.

Ingredients

Ingredients

  • 1 lb baby carrots (such as Bolthouse Farms Sweet Petites)
  • 1 tbsp ranch seasoning mix (such as Hidden Valley)
  • Avocado oil cooking spray (see notes)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Carrots: If your baby carrots are particularly thick, slice them in half lengthwise to ensure they cook evenly and brown nicely in the air fryer.
  2. Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (204°C) for about 5 minutes to ensure optimal cooking temperature.
  3. Season the Carrots: Pat the carrots dry thoroughly with a paper towel to remove moisture. Place the carrots in the air fryer basket, sprinkle the ranch seasoning evenly over them, then lightly spray with avocado oil to help the seasoning adhere and promote browning. Shake the basket well to coat the carrots evenly.
  4. Cook the Carrots: Air fry the carrots at 400°F for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket thoroughly halfway through cooking to ensure even browning and crispness. Adjust cooking time if carrots are very thick to achieve desired tenderness and caramelization.

Notes

  • Using baby carrots that are uniform in size will ensure even cooking.
  • If you want a stronger ranch flavor, you can add a little more seasoning but be mindful of the sodium content.
  • Avocado oil spray helps achieve a crispy texture without excessive oil; alternatively, use any high smoke point oil spray.
  • Adjust cooking time based on your specific air fryer model as times can vary.
